His mail being down is not an option at this point, even if it was only for a day or so. Have a couple more ideas to try before removing his mailbox.

Is the firmware and OS revision the same? I ask because I do not see options to update single hardware items. Or maybe something is corrupt in the mailbox you could try recreating the mailbox, although that's pretty drastic.Įd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." If it's a single device, try seeing if it needs a firmware update. The behavior you describe works fine with my Droid.

Except for Windows Mobile, Microsoft doesn't write the ActiveSync clients, they just license the protocol. IPhones and Droids both use ActiveSync, but the implementations are different since they are provided by the device manufacturers. I do not believe it is an Exchange issue because the other iPhones are working fine. In my mind the flagging should not be working either. If I flag an email that has been read/unread in Outlook and has not changed on the iPhone, the email will then show the correct read/unread choice once I flag/unflag it. I thought it might be a Push issue to the iPhone, but, the iPhone updates when messages are deleted or flagged.

(Yes, I know that droid uses OWA technology and the iPhone, activsync. We are running Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010 and the OWA. Please read the details of my issue before shunning me. I know that this issue is old and there seems to be a thousand "tricks" to fix it. I thought I would post my question here also.
